The Air Accident Investigation Authority of The Bahamas has begun an investigation into the crash landing of a private plane in Bimini on Friday afternoon.
According to the Royal Bahamas Police Force (RBPF), a 1970 Aztec six seater aircraft, carrying a pilot and four passengers, departed from Grand Bahama en route to Cat Cay.
“It is reported that upon reaching the destination, the pilot encountered mechanical difficulties with the landing gears, leading to a crash landing on the runway. There were no injuries reported during the incident. Investigations are underway,” RBPF said in a statement.
