Several international airlines to resume flights to Cuba

Several international carriers have announced plans to resume flights to Cubs, starting later this.

This was revealed by tourism marketing director Gihana Galindo during the 42nd International Tourism Fair.

Galindo said China Airlines will resume operations on May 17 covering the route Beijing-Madrid-Havana. China Airlines connected Beijing, Montreal and Havana before the COVID-29 pandemic.

Meanwhile, four weekly flights from Portugal will also offer tourists the opportunity to enjoy the summer season here with two of them landing in Varadero tourist center, one in Santa Clara city, and another one in the Jardines del Rey keys, off the northern Cuban coast.

A new airline company will increase flights from Spain to central Santa Clara city, while new flights will also come from the capital Madrid.

Flights from the Czech Republic and Slovakia will also return for the summer with flights from Prague to eastern Holguin city and Santa Clara, while another one will connect Bratislava to Holguin.

Cuba presently receives flights from 54 countries, 150 weekly flights from Canada and Spain, while steps are being made to encourage new flights from other airline companies.
