UWI Seismic Research Centre has reported a 3.5 Magnitude Earthquake near Trinidad & Tobago

The University of the West Indies Seismic Research Centre (UWI SRC) has reported the detection of a 3.5 magnitude earthquake near Trinidad & Tobago. The event occurred on March 26, 2024, at 11:41 pm local time, corresponding to 03:41 UTC.

The earthquake’s epicenter was located at latitude 10.39N and longitude 61.62W, with a depth of 18 km. Nearby cities affected include San Fernando, Trinidad and Tobago, situated 23 km northwest of the epicenter; Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, 32 km southwest; and Arima, Trinidad and Tobago, 46 km southwest.
