Two Men Safely Recovered After Abduction Incident on St. Croix

Two men were reported safe after being abducted by four masked individuals on Tuesday evening, March 5, the Virgin Island Police Department has announced.

The police department said it has launched an investigation into the kidnapping and is actively seeking assistance from the public to apprehend the suspects involved.

The incident unfolded around 5:45 p.m. along Queen Mary Highway, near the vicinity of Royal Furniture in Peter’s Rest. 

According to reports received by the 911 Emergency Call Center, a white or silver Toyota Tacoma quad cab executed a sudden maneuver to block a BMW SUV. 

Witnesses reported seeing three masked individuals exit the Tacoma, forcibly remove the two occupants of the BMW, and then speed away with them in the truck.

Responding to the call, VIPD officers conducted a thorough search of the area and successfully located the victims. The victims confirmed their abduction, stating that they were later released in the Half Penny area by their captors. While they were unable to provide specific identifications of the suspects, they indicated there could have been up to four individuals involved in the abduction.

The VIPD is urgently requesting any information related to this crime, encouraging members of the public to come forward with any details that may lead to the identification and capture of the suspects.
