Discover Dominica Authority is set to host the grand spectacle of Mas Domnik 2024, the Real Mas. Dominica’s Carnival, scheduled for February 12 and 13, 2024, promises an unforgettable experience filled with color, music, and celebration that will captivate locals and visitors alike.

The festivities kick off on Carnival Monday (Lendi Gwa), with the rhythmic beats of J’ouvert echoing through the streets from 4 am to 10 am. The energy intensifies with Electronic Bands performing between 7 am and 10 am. A visual treat awaits spectators as the Ole Mas Parade takes center stage from 10 am to 2 pm, followed by the School Bands Parade from 11 am to 3 pm. The day concludes with the lively T-Shirt Band Parade that lasts until 10 pm.

Carnival Tuesday (Madi Gwa) unfolds with the Pageant Winners Parade gracing the morning from 10 am to 1 pm. The Costume Bands Parade, the highlight of the day, takes place from 11 am to 10 pm, followed by the Last Lap from 6 pm to 10 pm, marking the grand finale of the spectacular event.

To ensure a safe and enjoyable carnival experience, strict regulations will be enforced. These include a prohibition on open fire, illegal drugs, weapons, and harmful substances within the parade routes. Band leaders are entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring the proper conduct
of participants in adherence to the laws of the Commonwealth of Dominica. Non-compliance may lead to removal from the celebrations and disqualification from judging contests.

The Parade Route for Carnival Monday, including the J'ouvert Parade and Carnival Tuesday, shall commence at the intersection of Kennedy Avenue and Independence Street in the City of Roseau, referred to as the starting point. It continues southwards along Independence Street and turns right into King George V Street at the intersection of both streets. The route continues westwards along King George V Street to its intersection with the Dame Eugenia Charles Boulevard (popularly referred to as The Bay Front) and continues north along the Dame Eugenia Charles Boulevard (The Bay Front) to its intersection with Kennedy Ave where it turns east into
Kennedy Avenue until the starting point is met.
