In a recent series of business meetings held in Saint-Martin, the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) successfully brought together tourism ministers, directors, and key stakeholders to engage in constructive dialogue. These discussions were centered around addressing the current challenges and identifying innovative solutions to further elevate the Caribbean as the premier global destination for warm-weather tourism.
Led by Secretary-General and CEO Dona Regis-Prosper, along with Cayman Islands Chairs Minister of Tourism and Ports Kenneth Bryan and Director of Tourism Rosa Harris, the CTO’s leadership is actively shaping a comprehensive action plan.
This strategic initiative aims to tackle vital issues impacting the region, including the enhancement of aviation, fostering effective communication networks, and bolstering training programs within the tourism sector.
Looking ahead, the CTO’s agenda is brimming with significant events aimed at advancing these strategic objectives. Among them are the Sustainable Tourism Conference (STC) in Grenada this April, Caribbean Week in New York in June, and the forthcoming State of the Tourism Industry Conference (SOTIC) scheduled for September in the Cayman Islands.
