Antigua: Police Probe Sudden Death Of German Cruise Visitor

In a tragic incident today, a 57-year-old German cruise tourist was pronounced dead at Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre in Antigua, shortly after noon. The tourist, who had been battling chronic health challenges, was found unresponsive at Long Bay.

The couple had arrived on a cruise ship earlier in the morning and embarked on a catamaran excursion to Long Bay. The distressing discovery was made by the man’s wife, who observed him floating face-down in the water after consuming a few drinks. He was rushed to the hospital, where, unfortunately, his death was confirmed.

A post-mortem examination is scheduled to ascertain the cause of death.
