A man is currently receiving medical treatment in the hospital following a terrifying ordeal in Casada Gardens, Antigua, on Friday morning. According to reports, the victim and another individual fell prey to three masked gunmen in the early hours.
The incident occurred as the two men were traveling in a pick-up truck around 6 a.m. Their journey was abruptly halted when the robbers utilized another vehicle to block their path. Emerging from their vehicle, the assailants proceeded to rob the victims at gunpoint, seizing an amount exceeding XCD$30,000. Tragically, one of the victims sustained a gunshot wound before the assailants escaped.
The injured individual is reported to be in serious condition in the hospital, while the other victim emerged from the ordeal unscathed. Sources indicate that the two men were en route to conduct a business transaction at the time of the incident.
