US Virgin Islands Governor Albert Bryan Jr on Wednesday expressed pride and gratitude as he issued a welcome statement for US President Joe Biden and First Lady Dr Jill Biden to the beautiful island of St Croix.

The Governor says their visit marks a significant and proud moment not only for the residents of St Croix but for the entire US Virgin Islands community.

He states: “The President’s choice of our island as his retreat for some well-deserved downtime speaks volumes about the unique charm and warmth that St Croix offers. We are always thankful for President Biden’s support and commitment to our islands, and it is an honour to host him and the First Lady.

Their presence here reinforces the strong bond between our US Virgin Islands and the rest of the United States, and we are delighted to share the best of our culture, hospitality, and natural beauty with them.”

St Croix has been a tropical getaway for Biden to visit for vacation since he was vice president from 2009 to 2017.

In 2022, Biden spent the holidays on the Caribbean island for the first time as President.

St Croix is one of the US Virgin Islands in the Caribbean.
