InterCaribbean Flight Declares Emergency After Engine Failure

A flight operated by InterCaribbean faced an emergency today when it encountered an apparent engine failure shortly after taking off from Douglas-Charles Airport in Dominica.

Flight 713 was en route to Grantley Adams International Airport in Barbados, having departed at 1:13 pm.

According to one of the passengers, the plane experienced engine trouble soon after takeoff, compelling the pilot to turn the aircraft around and head back to Douglas-Charles.

Flight tracking data indicates that the plane made several loops to the east of Dominica before returning to the airport.

The exact nature and extent of the problem is still unknown. The airline or aviation authorities have not yet officially confirmed the report of engine failure.

However, it is understood that the plane landed safely at Douglas-Charles Airport, and all passengers have been evacuated from the aircraft.

InterCaribbean Airlines has not yet released a statement about the incident. We have contacted the airline for more details.

This is a developing story; we will provide more information as it becomes available.

Four weeks ago, an incident occurred at V.C Bird International Airport where an Inter-Caribbean plane experienced an engine failure during take-off.

The engine of the ATR 45 plane reportedly caught fire shortly after take-off, prompting the pilot to turn back and make an emergency landing.

Fortunately, the pilot could land the plane back at the airport safely, and all passengers on board were unharmed.

It is speculated that the plane may have been en route to Tortola before the engine failure occurred.
