Gun Violence Claims Another Life, Pushing 2024 Homicides in The Bahamas to 38

The Royal Bahamas Police Force (RBPS) responded to a gunshot alert on Cowpen Road, Nassau, at approximately 11 pm on Wednesday.

Upon arrival, officers discovered the body of an unidentified man near a fruit stand across from Montgomery Avenue, having sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the head.

This incident marks the 38th homicide in The Bahamas for the year 2024.

Chief Superintendent Micheal Johnson, addressing reporters at the crime scene, urged witnesses to step forward and aid in the investigation. Authorities are troubled by the escalating crime trend across the nation.
