Cuban Prime Minister visits Venezuela for bilateral talks

Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero and Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro.

Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero visited Venezuela this week where he met with Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro as one of the first activities on his working agenda in that sister Latin American nation.

Marrero was welcomed at Miraflores Presidential Palace by the Venezuela President where the two leaders addressed bilateral cooperation between their countries.

As part of his agenda in Caracas, the Cuban Prime Minister also met with Cuban workers in that South American nation. 

Marrero briefed the workers about the current situation facing their country and the implementation of governmental actions to relaunch the economy.

The Cuban head of government is scheduled to also meet with other local authorities and check bilateral cooperation accords.

Cuba and Venezuela share strategic cooperation relations in areas such as healthcare, sports, education, communication, science and energy.
