Barbados and Senegal have made a commitment to work together in a number of areas.

This afternoon, the two countries inked a memorandum of understanding on political matters which lays the framework for cooperation in several areas.

Later, a business forum was held at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre where opportunities for trade and investment were explored.

Speaking during a press briefing afterwards, Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley revealed some of the major outcomes of the talks.

Among them, the opportunity for local players in the solar water heating field to expand to the west African country.

On the other hand, Ms. Mottley says Barbados has much it can learn from Senegal in the area of biosciences.
