A son, who was reportedly shot multiple times in the chest by his mother after he allegedly attacked her with a knife, has died from his injuries.
He has been identified as 19-year-old Thyrone Erskin.
The incident reportedly occurred sometime after 7:00 pm on Friday in Ebony Vale, Spanish Town in St Catherine.
The mother, who is a police officer, reportedly shot her son three times during the alleged attack.
It is also understood that shortly after the shooting, a police unit arrived on the scene and the injured person was quickly rushed to the hospital.
However, Erskin succumbed to his injuries Friday night.
