Antigua Cruise Ports (ACP) is gearing up for a significant milestone as officials count down to the arrival of their 500,000th cruise passenger for the season.

The operations manager at ACP, Rawle Reynolds, expressed optimism about reaching this mark in the near future, making this season one of the busiest on record.

Reynolds highlighted the current trajectory, stating, “We are presently on a countdown to when we’re going to reach the 500,000 passenger count from January 1st to the present. Right now, I think we’re up to roughly about 429,000 passengers to date, and I strongly believe that’s another 70,000 passengers that we require. We should be able to reach that goal before the end of April.”

The influx of visitors not only boosts tourism but also contributes significantly to the local economy through spending on excursions, dining, and shopping.

With this milestone on the horizon, ACP is focused on ensuring a seamless experience for passengers, coordinating with cruise lines to enhance port services and attractions.

The successful navigation of this busy cruise season reflects the resilience and attractiveness of Antigua as a premier destination in the Caribbean.
