Antigua: 14-year-old stabbed by schoolmate during fight

Reports say the deputy principal contacted the Bolans Police Station and reported that a fight was in progress at the school.

A student of the St. Mary’s Secondary School is nursing injuries after a fight broke out at the institution on Wednesday, January 17.

Reports say the deputy principal contacted the Bolans Police Station and reported that a fight was in progress at the school.

This offence reportedly occurred at about 1:35 p.m. and involved a third-form student.

Officers visited the school, where they met the 14-year-old victim, a Piggotts resident, in the company of the deputy principal.

He was wearing a white shirt that was stained with blood on the left sleeve, as a result of an injury he had sustained to his right arm.

Reportedly, he had been wounded with a pair of scissors by a Brownes Avenue youth.

The Police issued the youth with a Police Medical Form and he was transported to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre and then handed over to his mother.

A search was carried out for the alleged offender, but without success.
