The St. Patrick’s Day Festival in Montserrat is a lively two-week celebration that reaches its peak on March 17th, a public holiday on the island. Montserrat is the only country outside of Ireland to mark St. Patrick’s Day as a national holiday, and the festival commemorates the thwarted slave uprising of 1768.
