Electricity Outage South of Montserrat Disrupts Residents’ Day

Today, some residents south of Montserrat found themselves without electricity from 4 am this morning until 3 pm this afternoon. The outage was caused by a broken pole in Woodlands NO 7, near Alford Dyett’s Office, which resulted from a pole fire leading to a line earth fault.

Areas affected by the outage included St. Peters and all locations southwards to Isles Bay. The prolonged interruption disrupted daily activities for residents, who reported difficulties in carrying out essential tasks without power.

Montserrat Utilities Ltd. (MUL) has acknowledged the inconvenience caused by the outage and issued an apology to affected residents. Repair crews worked diligently to restore electricity to the affected areas as quickly as possible.
